Resilient city

Ville résiliante

All of our big cities will have an autonomous supply of a week’s worth of food.  When the roads are blocked and transport cannot pass, what will happen in the following weeks?  Never, in the whole of human history, have we been so dependent on a fragile planetary equilibrium.  Too confident in the current abundance of food in our region, we have forgotten the most fundamental principles of precaution!  The resilient city, is based on any European city, without demolishing existing buildings, but adapting them to our essential and primordial needs.  By optimising all of the roof spaces, balconies, terraces, public and private spaces for new urban use by installing: hen houses, vegetable gardens, orchards, greenhouses and pigeon houses.  The efficiency of methods for producing food also extends to the façades of the best oriented tower blocks.
